Celebrating Great Hawaiian Restaurants with a View

Oahu is home to a number of fabulous restaurants that are sure to leave you feeling quite satisfied. House Without a Key

Featuring live Hawaiian dancing and music, House Without a Key is a popular indoor/outdoor gathering place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Considered to be one of the best restaurants in Waikiki, the restaurant was immortalized in 1925 in the first book of the Charlie Chan mystery novel series written by Earl Der Biggers.

Known for its signature mai tai, House Without a Key is also home to the original Halekulani. This tradition of cocktails and Hawaiian music under a century-old Kiawe tree is faithfully preserved at the restaurant for its guests. Located at 2199 Kalia Road in Honolulu, the restaurant also boasts amazing sunset views and nightly dancing to distinctive Hawaiian music.

Haleiwa Beach House

Situated across from Ali’i Beach at 62-540 Kamehameha Highway in Haleiwa, Haleiwa Beach house is the newest and largest restaurant in the city. In addition to the magnificent views of the beach, the building itself has been recently renovated to match the country feel of the town. Meanwhile, the menu prepared by Executive Chef Chris Blanc boasts a wide selection of choices ranging from fish to burgers.  

In addition to the extensive menu choices, Haleiwa Beach House features two bars offering 16 hand-selected craft beers on draft. The restaurant also offers a wide assortment of bottled beers, over 40 different wines and ten signature cocktails created by bar manager Eric Caldwell.

53 By The Sea

Serving both lunch and dinner, 53 By The Sea boasts magnificent views of Diamond Head, Waikiki and the surf at Kakaako. Only the freshest ingredients are used to create the extensive menu options. With its elegant interior combined with its floor-to-ceiling windows, everything about 53 By The Sea depicts a life of beauty and splendor. The restaurant is also home to T’s at 53, which features a variety of handcrafted cocktails. 53 By The Sea is located at 53 Ahui Street in Honolulu.

Beachhouse at the Moana

Situated in the Moana Surfrider hotel at 2365 Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, Beachhouse at the Moana provides guests with dinner directly on the beach. With its timeless setting on the Pacific, the restaurant offers fresh steaks and seafood coupled with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant also hosts a variety of pairings throughout the year, each of which features a celebrity brewmaster, winemaker or master distiller.

Hau Tree Lanai

Located just outside of Waikiki at 2863 Kalakaua Avenue in Honolulu, Hau Tree Lanai rests at the foot of Diamond Head. As such, the restaurant offers an amazing oceanfront view of the beach as well as the sunset in the evening. With its open-air outdoor “Terrace” style seating beneath the Hau Trees, the restaurant provides a truly unique Hawaiian experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served as part of the restaurant’s extensive menu.
